Hello friends,
On Wednesday 12 July, we had a webinar titled “Discovering Your Purpose”, during which we discussed how to unleash your potential. We all have incredible potential within us, but sometimes we can unintentionally get in our own way. Today, let's dive into some ways to overcome self-sabotage:
Embracing Your Awesome Self: One secret ingredient to overcoming self-sabotage is self-awareness. Take a moment to reflect, practice mindfulness, or start journaling, whichever works for you, but understand that by becoming more conscious of your thoughts, emotions, and triggers, you gain the power to make choices aligned with your dreams and aspirations.
Embracing a Growth Mindset: Shift your mindset from "I can't" to "I can learn and grow." In a mentoring session with Konseye Mentor Peter Thompson, Peter helpfully shared that we can rephrase “I can’t” to “I don’t know that yet.” That simple word “yet” reflects a mental shift from “I am blocked from progress because I cannot” to “I realize that things can change.” Embrace the idea that setbacks are not failures but stepping stones to success.
The Power of Support and Guidance: While self-discovery is a personal journey, seeking support from mentors, coaches, or trusted friends can make a world of difference. They can provide guidance, share their experiences, and offer a fresh perspective as you navigate the path to self-discovery.
You don't have to do it alone! Here’s a quick tip 😉 Konseye: The Mentorship Network provides you with the support you need through our community of cheerleaders! You've got this! Self-sabotage doesn't stand a chance against your determination to succeed. And speaking of finding your purpose, we will share a recap of the webinar soon, so keep an eye out for it!
